Sound interesting? At Sam's luncheon, Rosemarie Retacco had a great idea. Why not have a book box downstairs?
If permission is granted, and space is found, docents could have a "leave a book/take a book" place. We would have a great way to free up shelf space at home and share our good and bad reads. Are you interested?
Yes, I think this is a wonderful idea. And I think we should somehow leave a trail of who read what. Perhaps the person donating the book puts their name on the inside cover...and everyone borrowing & reading the book does the same. That way it will be easy to find someone to discuss the book with, or ask a question or whatever!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea too, but think the book box or whatever would need a manager. The potential problem is overflow into walkways and work space, so someone has to keep an eye out and have responsibility to ruthlessly weed out those books which are not circulating for recycling.
